How to avoid party bus scams!

First, check the Better Business Bureau.  The BBB is a great resource for checking on any reputable company. Here is a link for you. http://www.bbb.org/

Read actual client reviews about the company you are renting a party bus from.  Websites like www.yelp.com are an excellent resource for checking on reputable companies.  Most companies also have testimonial pages from clients as well.  Any company that can't give referrals or share testimonials from other clients may be questionable.

All reputable companies have their party buses available in their fleet for you to see.  If in doubt, ask to come see the party bus in person.

Rent party buses locally!  F.A.D.D.S. can't stress this enough. In most cases, renting a party bus online results in dealing with brokers who do not own party buses.  However, they subcontract party buses to make a profit from you and then may become unable to fulfill their agreement with you.  Also beware of local brokers.  In some cases you can find yourself dealing with local companies that rent out someone elses party bus.

Questions to ask your party bus company:  Do you have insurance? Is your company DOT Compliant?  Do you screen your drivers? Are your drivers drug tested? How long have you been in business? Beware of here by day, fly by night companies.

Always fill out your contracts.  This is an agreement between you and the company you are receiveing services from.  All contracts should include date, time of service, vehicle rental information and legal terms.  Be sure to read the fine print including deposit and cancellation policies.  These contracts are to protect you and the company and are binding.

Always pay for your party bus rental with credit or debit card.  Most banks offer protection from scams.  Never pay for your rental with cash!

If you find yourself in a dispute with a party bus company, communicating with the company will resolve most matters.  However, if you find yourself a victim of a party bus scam, always report it to the Better Business Bureau.

Every year here at F.A.D.D.S. we hear horror stories about party bus scams like these:
